I've wanted to do add my story to this forum for while but just haven't had the time or the motivation, but I do now, lol....
The Drifter was first published back in January 2010 on TSR. And it wasn't until I'd written and published the Finale of Part 1 that I realized these characters still had a story to tell. After much thought (and hesitation) I transferred it all onto a blog and continued on writing.
In the early stages of The Drifter we follow William Seymour, a young adult trying to find his purpose in life. And when he docks his boat at a near by town (Sunset Valley) to stock up on supplies for his next long and lonely trip out to sea he meets a young lady, Eliza Evans.
She makes an impression on him that he will never be able to forget and he asks her out for coffee the next time he runs into her in town.
Unbeknownst to Will though, Eliza is also searching for something in her life. A mate, a companion, a lover and a best friend to spend the end of days with. And after a quiet, yet disgruntled, break up with her ex, Eliza accepts Will's offer for coffee and takes a chance that this young man might just be different to the others she once dated.
Heartache, agony and an unexpected kidnapping is soon due for these two as they both discover that what was missing in their lives was standing right in front of them.
With out giving too much away this basically en-tales the first major half of The Drifter. If this story happens to tickle your fancy, then click the links below and you will find summaries for the first three parts. All are written in full and contain detailed descriptions of any major events (aka, spoilers). If you'd like to get to know the characters a little better first then you can find Bios's for the four main characters HERE. Just a heads up that these contain some spoilers as well.
In Parts Two & Three we meet and learn about the ones closest to Will & Eliza, their family. Barbara and Susannah, Will's mother and younger sister. Connor, Will's best mate and Charlie and Katherine Evans, Eliza's parents. These newly introduced characters share similar struggles in life and they must all bond together to get through them.
So that leaves us with where I'm up to at the moment, Part Four!
It's many years later and due to circumstances beyond their control, Will & Eliza now reside in Greenland Bay, Will's original home town. Here they settle into life together and raise their very own family. Teens, Joshua and Charlotte, and child Pippa.
Is life with three children going to be a bumpy ride or will it be smooth sailing for this couple that have been through just about everything?
Find out below in the first two chapters of Part Four:
Chapter 1 - Not Likely
Chapter 2 - Trust
Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing it.
