Reinstall and Restart

Hey everyone. 

So I messed up my laptop had to get it factory reset and now it works fine. However I have to reinstall my sims game, luckily my downloads folder has been backed up. I'm not looking forward to doing the reinstall because my Apartment Life disc has a slit in it  From previous installs and having to get it in and out of the disc slot on previous computers. Plus I'm not really looking to spend money on a new copy of the game.


Also when I installed prior to getting my laptop fixed (when I first got this one) I had trouble getting the install box to pop up in order to type the code in. Does anyone know of a fix for that? Please help. I'm thinking of reinstalling this weekend or maybe tonight.

However, if possible maybe I could get the Super Collection or Ultimate Collection from origin? But I'm guessing its unavailable now.

I'm afraid the Ultimate Collection is no longer available on Origin. They have randomly put it up though so you could check periodically through the month.

I've never heard of the install wizard not popping up...but you might just go into My Computer and right click on the disc icon and click open or play? I can't remember. It's been a long time since I installed discs
