It's exactly as it sounds. The CC won't show up. I have BaseGame (of course), Ambitions, and Generations. It says that the game is patched to 8.0.152.011001. Framework after Ambitions: In Documents/ElectronicArts/Sims3/Mods/Packages UPdated Resourcefile.cfg goes into Mods folder, but not in Packages. So any ideas why CC won't show up? I only have 40 .package files as a test.

Have you deleted the cache files to have it regenerate them? That's my first thought.

Yes....we figured out the problem. It was the Compressor...it corrupted the files. But any thoughts on why we'd have to be connected to the Internet to load the game? It's not a hassle, but it just seems bizarre.

Are you using the launcher? That's the only reason I can think of?? Launcher sucks. I don't use it.
I haven't used the compressor - it made sense in TS2, but not really for TS3.

I used the compressor with just the base game and it worked just fine and ate the crap out of the files so they weren't so big. I like space savers. ;D But it's not going to work with the expansions so poo. Michelleab on BlackPearl said that it may be the EA Download Manager that is the cause of the game having to be hooked up to the Internet to load. It's just bizarre. Thanks for the help Kiri.

I don't know if you figured this out yet, but you don't have to be connected to the internet to play. Even if you are using the EADM (now called Origins or some such crap) you only really need it for when there is a new expansion out.
I rarely use it. Eats too much memory while I'm playing and then I CTD.
