S4 to S2 Conversion Tutorial
With this tutorial, you will learn to convert from Sims 4 to Sims 2
Have Fun!
Programs Needed:
♦ Sims4Studio
♦ Blender
(link to download blender is in the same thread as S4S download)
♦ SimPE
Step 1.

Create a folder on your desktop with the Sims 4 file(s)
that you are wanting to convert.
Open S4S and click on "My Projects" and find the file you wish to convert.
Step 2.

Select the file then click "Open"
Step 3.

Go into the "textures" tab and with the first texture selected (it should already be on the first texture swatch anyways), click on the "Export" button.
Step 4.

Name your texture file and then click "Save" Make sure you save as PNG
* A good bit of advice...for the first texture, give it the name and "texture" (like in the picture above) then for the second one you export, name it the name and then "texture 1". This will save you from a lot of confusion later when you are applying recolors to your converted mesh in SimPE. Meaning, the first texture will be what belongs to the main mesh...and all others will be "recolor 1" and so on.
Step 5.

Now you will see that the texture is saved to your folder.
Step 6.

Go to the "Meshes" tab.
Step 7.

Click "Export Mesh"
Step 8.

Name your file. (It will automatically save it as a blender file.) Click "Save"
Step 9.

The location with your blender file will automatically open.
Double click on the blender file to open Blender.
Step 10.

You will see the mesh is now open in blender.
Left click on it so it is outlined in orange. That will indicate that it is selected.
Step 11.

Now go to "File>Export>Wavefront (.obj)"
Step 12.

A screen will appear and you will see the name of your object in the top left.
(if you wish to change the name you can, but you do not have to)
Step 13.

Click on "Export OBJ" in the top right corner.
Step 14.

In your folder you will now see you Object file.
(mtl. files are always generated with object files...
you don't have to do anything with it)
Step 15.
For the next several steps, Follow the instructions in this tutorial,
beginning with Step 5 HERE
