Wow. Scary fact. I've never managed to finish a story or legacy. (Actually legacies don't count because I've never managed to start one of them)

Not counting Sim stories because they are not as complicated as manuscripts, in my opinion...I've finished one and then immediately started rewriting it, but I was in the 9th grade and the manuscript had actually started in the 7th grade so the writing was terrible. I couldn't even tell what the hell I was trying to tell myself in that story. I'm like...five chapters away from completing another manuscript and part of me thinks that I keep getting writer's block because I don't want to complete it or scared or whatever. That's horrendous! Stupid and absurd, but true I suppose. I've been writing this one for a little over a year. I'm pleased with it thus far though I know some scenes will need editing. At least there will be no rewriting of the whole manuscript. I don't think I could go through that again. On Sims stories...I've completed two Nova stories, one mini story, Christine's story, Alternate Universe Book 1. All very plotty, well, not the mini story of Subway. I have never been able to finish a challenge or legacy. I have many, but they just sit there with no agenda.

Ah fair enough. I haven't really attempted to write any manuscripts yet. Kinda wanna get some experience in this field. After all it's only been a year and a half since I discovered I could write. I'm taking part in a legacy (playing through a generation) which is being organised by Van but I don't suppose that's ever gonna count, is it

It counts. Legacies are hard to make.

The thing with legacies is they start getting boring around the middle, and it's hard to keep the motivation going to keep on with them. I get to maybe gen 4 or 5 and start wanting to play completly different and new characters. Besides neighbourhoods start getting glitchy and slow around that mark and make a move necessary. It's annoying cos EA must realise that a large part of the Sims community plays legacy challenges. So why not make it able to maintain a hood that long without getting glitches. As my gen 8 (well 9 if you count the founder) drew to an end and the new was just a day from taking over the hood would error 12 if I hadn't saved so it was too unbearable to play. Then it wouldn't let me save the whole family to move to a new hood, so I've just had to make do with taking the heiress.
