Vinicio Morticelli is a mobster-turned-entrepreneur living in the town of Middleburg, New Jersey. Following a handful of ill-fated marriages, he has resigned himself to the companionship of Donatella, his much younger, gold-digging seventh wife, and his liquor cabinet. Also housed in Vinicio’s residence are his two teenage children: Arrigo, his promiscuous, cyclothymic second son, and Rachele, his kind-hearted, yet emotionally exhausted daughter. Vinicio plans to drag out the remainder of his days as unconsciously as he can, turning a blind eye to his Donatella’s intentions, Arrigo’s liaisons, and his own alcoholism… until his estranged first wife and their older son come back to town.
